Located just north of Downtown Frederick, Maryland, Rose Hill Manor was the retirement estate of Maryland's first elected Governor and friend to George Washington, Thomas Johnson. The Manor House and some of the grounds now serve as a county park and a multi-structure museum facility with guided tours daily.
